To be eligible you need:

• The right to work in New Zealand or a work visa with at least 12 months remaining
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence (or eligible on a Restricted or International Licence)
• To declare any conflicts of interest and previous convictions.  Exempt from Clean Slate and all conviction history is released
• The ability to pass a drug test
• Be medically fit for employment and complete a Medical Assessment and Physical Readiness Assessment.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

• Starting salary $59,519, increasing as you achieve National Qualifications Level 3 ($64,197) and Level 4 ($69,363).

Currently we have opportunities available at Northland Region Corrections Facility (NRCF) for both Part time & Full-time hours.

Northland Region Corrections Facility (NRCF) is nestled in the heart of Te Tai Tokerau. On the whenua of Ngati Rangi, NRCF has been operating since it’s establishment in 2005. The site is a temporary home for the up to 489 men who reside within the walls. NRCF is a site with a strong passion for Rehabilitation and Reintegration, as well as with a strong focus on arts, including whakairo. Established as a facility it seeks to transform the approach towards caring for prisoners via the Hokai Rangi strategy, and the Maori Pathways project. This project seeks to establish a strong kaupapa Maori approach to the work that NRCF undertakes, whilst ensuring a strong focus on risk management and staff safety.
