Every day, we provide services, facilities and programmes for our residents and the many people who visit or work here. In everything we do, we’re led by our values of Manaakitanga (show you care), Kotahitanga (being connected) and Rangatiratanga (having courage) and our partnership with Mana Whenua. Every day our work enables our neighbourhoods to be more connected, healthy and resilient.
About the role
Our small and connected LIM Team work together to give home buyers and sellers peace of mind. We help prospective home buyers understand what it is they are buying.
This is a great job for the curious and sticklers for detail as you work as part of a team to complete Land Information Memoranda (LIMs). If you love researching, liaising with different stakeholders, problem solving and working to timelines this is a great role for you.
A busy day will see you managing enquiries related to LIMs on behalf of Council in accordance with statutory requirements, and council procedures. You will be dealing with a broad variety of people as you help buyers and sellers in our community get the right information to help them make key decisions in their lives.
No two days will ever be the same in this role and the types of tasks you will be involved in include:
You’ll bring outstanding customer service skills with a keen interest and/or understanding of the administration of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act, resource management, architecture or related areas. You’ll be comfortable meeting deadlines and take pride in your ability to create great outcomes for your community.
You’ll have a naturally curious mind and back that up with a tertiary qualification or relevant experience. You’ll also be a succinct communicator both verbally and written with an eye for detail and be comfortable using a computer and various systems.
We recognise rewarding you is not only about your pay, so we’ve outlined some of the great benefits that may be available to you as an employee of Hutt City Council. Read more about them here: careers.huttcity.govt.nz/your-total-rewards
