Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role
Be part of exciting growth and innovation within Consentium, the Kāinga Ora Building Consent Authority (BCA) which provides consenting services exclusively to Kāinga Ora. The team takes great pride in receiving the Innovator of the Year Award at the Building Officials Institute of NZ [link removed]Excellence Awards.
With overall responsibility of two inspection teams, you will promote consistency and quality of inspections across our Building Consent Authority.
This role will ensure the successful management of inspections work through allocation and forecasting, whilst providing effective coaching, training and mentoring to inspections staff.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring
With a visionary approach to enable building housing, you will demonstrate:
- An established background in construction management or a building regulatory role, including experience in inspections in these environments
- Proven practical management, leadership skills and people skills
- Sound building technical knowledge, application and awareness, coupled with strong legislative understanding (including revoked legislation)
- Environmental awareness and appreciation of potential impacts of relevant trends and legislation.
