As a Commercial Manager you will manage and grow a portfolio of commercial customers (targeting and managing businesses between $1m to $20m of business lending) through proactive relationship building, leaning on your strong client relationship skills and negotiation skills to develop and manage a wide range of solutions for Commercial clients in the Wellington area. You will know how to balance the different drivers and challenges your clients face and work with them to develop solutions to support their success, while ensuring Good Customer Outcomes through providing tailored banking solutions for them.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following:

• A successful background in Business and/or Commercial Banking or Credit Analysis
• You’ll be a proactive business generator with an ability to develop strong networks locally
• Ability to assess risk and where possible find acceptable solutions for the Bank and the customer
• Excellent relationship skills to successfully close competitive business opportunities in order to build and maintain a quality, profitable portfolio of loyal clients whilst ensuring Good Customer Outcomes
• A good understanding of international products and how these are used by import/export customers
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to quickly build trust and maintain strong positive relationships at a large customer exposure level
• Comfortable working both autonomously as well as part of a team
• Sound knowledge and understanding of key credit policies, processes and procedures
• Proven business management skills and the ability to apply practical solutions in line with business strategy
• Have practical understanding and working knowledge of various legislative requirements that impact on Business/Commercial Banking – for example, Companies Act, Credit Contracts Act, Personal Properties Securities Act, etc
